| Connecting
a 9-12V DC motor to the RCX is a fairly simple process.
Note: Connecting a DC motor that is less than 9V can cause damage to the motor itself.

| Step 1: Get a regular RCX wire connector | |
| Step 2: Cut the wire in half | |
| Step 3: Strip the ends with a wire stripper | |
| Step 4: Solder the stripped wire ends to the connectors on the motor | |
| That's it. Now you are ready to use the DC motor with the RCX. Just attach the uncut end of the wire to one of the RCX motor ports, and now it can be used just like a regular Lego motor. | |
