Lawrence Technological University Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

The Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) was started in the Spring of 1992 by a group of ten students. We attended our first Programming Contest that fall and have participated every year since with mostly two teams going. If you would like to join LTU ACM, please click here!

Message from Chair after an ACM Meeting - Sep 3, 2004

To all ACM members LTU Chapter,

Below is an outline of ACM goals for this year that were discussed at the Sept 3, 2004 ACM meeting between ACM chair and vice chair Maurice Tedder and Jesse Brindle. Our most important goal is the recruitment of ACM officers for next year because all of the current officers will graduate in 2005.

We also need some of YOUR IDEAS on how to accomplish some of the goals on our list. We need ideas for fundraising, recruitment, and fun places to have regular meetings.

Once again, we plan to sponsor a Programming contest with cash prizes and we also need members interested in competing in outside contest. We will announce dates and times of field trips and New Years/Christmas Party.

If you have not already registered on the Official LTU ACM chapter web page (http://ltu164.ltu.edu:8080/kchen/acmm/index.htm) please do so now because blackboard registered members will not receive the latest job opportunity announcements and we will eventually phase out blackboard and only use the official LTU ACM mailing list.
